Rarely attend Go Club, never play on KGS and does not work on a single Go problem since the day I moved to Sydney, I gradually lose confidence and at the same time forget how interesting it is to play Go.
So last month I decided to sign up for Australian Go Tournament 2017. The registration was made and the fee was paid in just a few seconds as if to rule out any possibility of me having second thoughts.
Well it would be a lie to say that I don’t care much about winning or losing or I’m not nervous. But such thoughts wouldn’t take me any where so I start to train for the tournament in 2 weeks with the following mindsets:
1) The goal of training is not to win, but to lose not so badly
2) I never lose, either I win or I learn
At the end of the day, I’m super glad with my decision of joining the tournament (even though it means cutting down study time for the 54th TOPIK exam).
I definitely would get the joy of playing Go back!
