9.33 Miles

Waking up in the middle of the night to drink some water and couldn’t get back to sleep after, I decided to go for an early morning run at 3 am.

The goal was pretty simple, 10 miles or 2 hours of non-stop running, depending on whichever came first. Then for the first time in my life, I ran 9.33 miles. The figure was not even close to a half marathon race (13.1 miles) but I felt quite satisfied as it was sort of fun running in the rain and I tripled my daily running goal.

To avoid muscle soreness, I went straight to the yoga studio after the run to do a one-hour stretching exercise. Still, the pain was quite intense and it took me three days for a complete recovery.

As one might expect the rain left me with a cold. I woke up in the morning with a sore throat, slight fever, and running nose.

But the run was worth it!
