Cats, Bookstores, and Me
Basically, I want to read books that have cats or bookstores on their covers.
This year-end holiday, I’ve decided to just stay home. It’s been an exciting year—I travelled extensively, spending a total of 104 days away. Now, I find myself feeling quite tired and in need of a proper rest. Since the university closed on 20 December, I’ve been sleeping 12–13 hours a day. It felt good at first, but now it’s starting to feel like too much. I need to shake it off and get back into running again.
I’ve also been thinking about reading more during this break—and hopefully in the years ahead. My reading habit pretty much disappeared during my PhD, and I’d really like to rediscover it. One thing I’ve realised is how much I’m drawn to books that feature either cats or bookstores on their covers. It’s a bit of a quirky obsession, but I can’t resist them.
I’ve been collecting these kinds of books for a while now, but I thought it was about time I made it more official. So, this blog post is the start of documenting them. Let’s see where this little project takes me!
